Confucius Institute teacher Maggie Man will lead this fun lesson to give you an introduction to Mandarin Chinese.
You will begin with an introduction to pinyin and Chinese pronunciation. Have you ever wondered how people type Chinese on computers? Pinyin is the phonetic system used to write Chinese, and it is how beginners get started with the language.
You will also be introduced to beautiful Chinese characters and their history.
After this brief overview of the key components of the Chinese language you will learn a few basic words and phrases that are useful in everyday conversation.
