Harrogate Grammar School Super Learning Day
The annual 'Super Learning Day' at our Harrogate Grammar School Confucius Classroom introduces year 7 pupils to the delights of Chinese language and culture.
Harrogate Grammar School became our first ‘Confucius Classroom’ in February 2015. This school-based hub for Mandarin teaching benefits from our support in its exploration of everything Chinese. The prestigious Modern Foreign Language department has received a boost from this partnership, which allows the school to offer even more opportunities for students to immerse themselves in other cultures.
The Super Learning Day is a key part of this project. An annual event for year 7 students, the action-packed day of activities introduces them to Chinese language and culture through a range of workshops and classes. Many students are inspired by the experience and go on to take advantage of the Chinese courses and cultural activities on offer at their school.
The Business Confucius Institute staff and volunteers are looking forward to another exciting day at Harrogate Grammar School, and relish the opportunity to inspire a love of language and culture in the next generation.
