Three University of Leeds students will be leaving for China on 7 July to take part in a Young Entrepreneurs to China trip hosted by our Chinese partner university.

Abinav Bhattachan (BA Digital Media), Caitlin Pharoah O-Reilly (BA Film, Photography and Media) and Sarah Lloyd (BA Professional Studies) are taking part in the trip before embarking upon their Year in Enterprise at the University of Leeds; a programme run by Spark and the Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies

During the two-week trip to Beijing and Shenzhen they will work with start-up mentors, meet investors, and visit companies including Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent and Didi. The programme will be a fantastic opportunity to learn about China and meet other young entrepreneurs from around the world.

The trip is organised by the Confucius Institute at Victoria University, Australia, along with the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and the Confucius Institute Headquarters. The Confucius Institute Headquarters provide a scholarship to cover all expenses in China, with international travel expenses for the three Leeds students covered by Spark.

UIBE also host the BCI China Camp, an annual two-week trip focusing on language and culture that takes place during the Easter holiday.
