About Media Futures
Media Futures is a personal and professional development series run for students within the School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds.
These undergraduate and postgraduate students are studying a range of subjects from digital media to film and photography, from PR to broadcast journalism. The aim of the programme is to inspire students into exploring possible future career interests, provide opportunities for them to network with professionals, and provide opportunities to develop their employable skills.
Events range from lectures and interviews to practical workshops and question and answer sessions. The majority of these events take place from 4-5pm on Tuesdays when students have this programmed on their timetables, although practical sessions may be longer and additional events may be organised at other times of the week.
Currently the series is online and open to all students.
