The Merrion Centre is once again set to host a spectacular Chinese New Year celebration in 2026, marking the Year of the Horse with an exciting line-up of cultural performances, workshops, and family-friendly activities.
This year’s event, once again supported by the Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds, promises to be bigger and better than ever, offering something for visitors of all ages.

Mongolian Folk Dance, Dunhuang Dance (Inspired by Ancient Silk Road Art & Traditional Chinese Dances
13:55pm – 14:00pm Traditional Storytelling (Clapper performance)
14:00pm – 14:15pm Chinese Music Performances including Guzheng (Chinese Zither), Erhu (Chinese String Instrument) & Piano (Child Pianist/Community Artist)
