The Year of the Horse is fast approaching, and we're ready to enjoy the festivities with you! 🌟 Join us in celebrating Chinese New Year with the Business Confucius Institute as we immerse ourselves in the vibrant traditions of this special occasion.

- An Introduction to Chinese New Year: Discover the rich history, fascinating customs, and exciting significance of this global celebration.
- Delicious Chinese Festive Food: Discover some festive food that is enjoyed during the New Year celebrations—perfect for tantalising your taste buds!
- A Stunning Live Guzheng Performance: Be enchanted by the beautiful sounds of the Guzheng, a traditional Chinese instrument, played by an accomplished musician. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
- Fun Chinese Activities: Have a go at one of our many activities including making your own lucky red envelope , paper-cutting, an introduction to Mah-jong, Chinese tea tasting, chopstick competitions and much more...
We are running two sessions (of which you will join one) to give everyone a chance to join in the fun:
- Tuesday 17th February 2026 - 6pm to 7.30pm
- Thursday 19th February 2026 - 6pm to 7.30pm
Both sessions will be held at Leeds University Business School
