Bank of China Visits the Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds

On Wednesday 24th September, the Business Confucius Institute (BCI) at the University of Leeds was pleased to welcome staff from the Bank of China for a productive day of discussions and engagement.

As part of our commitment to building strong links with the business community, the visit provided an excellent opportunity to explore future collaboration. Conversations focused on how the Bank of China could strengthen its network with local Leeds businesses, UK companies exporting to China, and Chinese-owned enterprises operating in the region.

The Bank of China team also delivered an anti-fraud workshop for Chinese students at the University of Leeds. This important session aimed to raise awareness of financial risks and scams, helping students stay informed and protected while studying in the UK.

In addition, discussions were held around potential internship opportunities for students at Leeds University Business School, supporting the faculty departments goal of providing real-world experience and career development pathways.

Executive Director Professor Lynda Song and Chinese Director Hu Rong also led the Bank of China delegation on a tour of the University of Leeds campus, highlighting the university’s facilities and its strong international outlook.
