Bradford Grammar School Celebrates Chinese Culture Day

On 22 May, the Business Confucius Institute (BCI) brought a vibrant Chinese Culture Day to Bradford Girl's Grammar School, with BCI teachers Li Tao, Jia Hui and Chinese Director Hu Rong leading a series of interactive sessions for students.
The event engaged four classes from Year 7 to Year 10, giving students a fun and hands-on introduction to Chinese language and traditional culture.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to learn about the significance of Hanfu, traditional Chinese clothing, and even try it on themselves. The sessions explored different aspects of Chinese cultural heritage, helping students gain a deeper understanding of China's rich history and traditions.
Students also took part in a variety of cultural games and activities, while learning some basic Chinese language skills. Their enthusiasm and curiosity created a lively atmosphere, with many students eager to participate and ask questions.

Chinese Culture Day provided a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their global awareness, experience a different culture, and develop an interest in learning Mandarin.
The Business Confucius Institute is proud to support schools across Leeds and the wider region through Chinese language and cultural outreach activities. If your school is interested in hosting similar sessions, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch to find out more about the opportunities available.
