The Book of Songs is the beginning of ancient Chinese poetry and the earliest collection of poems. It has a history of more than 2500 years, with a total of 311 poems.
Confucius once summarized the aim of the Book of Songs as “innocence”, and taught his disciples to read the Book of Songs as a standard for making statements and acting.
We will experience the society of that time through some of the poems in The Book of Songs.
