Three free sessions exploring Chinese food, culture and climate change! Aimed at people from East and Southeast Asian heritage backgrounds.

Compass Live Art are bringing this exciting arts residency to Leeds. Low Carbon Chinatown is a project by Ling Tan, originally commissioned by Kakilang.

Cooking workshop and tasting session

11:00 -13:30, Beeston, Leeds

Sample some delicious Chinese dishes and meet new people at the food tasting session led by artist and designer, Ling Tan and Leeds based chef, Mr Chiu.

Lincoln Greeners sustainable gardening session

11:00-12:30, Roxby Close, Leeds

Join Mafwa Theatre's Lincoln Greeners gardening group to learn about the growing process and how to care for plants. Explore the different types of edible plants that could be incorporated into your favourite Chinese recipes!

Final gathering: sit down meal

12:00, Patrick Studios, Leeds

Finally, attendees are invited to bring a plus one to the special Chinese lunch that closes the series; the culmination of all the learning and discussion that has taken place up to that point.
