As the first traditional Chinese festival listed on the World’s Intangible Cultural Heritages, Dragon Boat Festival is one of the three most important lunar festivals in China, along with Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.
The event will begin with an engaging overview of the culture and customs of Dragon Boat Festival. Boat racing, duck hunting, and the White Snake Goddess... Familiarise yourself with all the above and more.
The brief overview will be followed by two workshops in five-colour string bracelet making, for a wish of a long and healthy life, and Dragon Boat paper crafting (Zongzi), hosted by our creative BCI teachers.
This is a great opportunity to spend time with friends and fellow language learners and learn about an important festival in the Chinese calendar.
