With one month to go until the Year of the Dragon, join us at HELIX to explore, learn, and make connections.
We are launching our Spring Festival educational resources with a day of cultural activities, language tasters and hands-on engagement opportunities.
Open to staff, students and external guests, as well as Spring Festival experts and novices! Come along and get involved!
Drinks and snacks will be provided. Please register to give us an idea of numbers.
- Learn about Spring Festival traditions and share your own.
- Take part in a Mandarin language taster to get a feel for the language and try some New Year greetings.
- Film messages and greetings to get the celebrations started.
- Have a go on the amazing lightboard and be part of a unique collaborative piece.
- Get involved in crafty activities and create decorations to take away.
- Experience the podcasting studio and share your stories about Spring Festival.
If you celebrate Spring Festival, join us to share your knowledge and excitement with others. If you work with students, staff or alumni then this is a fantastic opportunity to gather content and inspiration for your communication channels and events.

Filming and photography will be taking place at this event. Please let us know if you do not wish to be included.
