Discover Qigong: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life
Guest Lecture & Workshop - Qigong & Taiji - Chinese Wisdom for Wellbeing
Today, the Business Confucius Institute hosted a unique cultural experience: a Guest Lecture and Workshop on Qigong and Taiji, led by Xiaoping Lu, a dedicated practitioner of Master Chen’s Essence Qigong form. The event offered participants an opportunity to explore the ancient Chinese practices of energy flow and holistic wellbeing.
Attendees discovered answers to questions such as:
- What is Qigong?
- What are Meridians and Qi?
- How can Chinese wisdom support modern life?
The interactive session combined philosophy with gentle movement, giving participants a first-hand experience of Qigong’s calming and restorative benefits. Xiaoping shared insights from over three decades of practice, blending tradition with mindfulness to promote balance and vitality. To finish, attendees were guided through Ba Duan Jin (Eight Pieces of Brocades) traditional Qigong movements, allowing them to practice and feel the flow of energy for themselves
I really enjoyed the talk! and the chance to do those exercises
