Harrogate Grammar School (Confucius Classroom)
Harrogate Grammar School became a Confucius Classroom in 2015.
Harrogate Grammar School was one of the first Teaching Schools in the UK, and is a lead members in the Red Kite Teaching School Alliance, a partnership of schools that share skills, experience and talent to help improve learning and achievement in schools across Yorkshire.
With a prestigious Modern Foreign Languages Faculty, Harrogate Grammar is proud of the opportunities it offers to students to immerse themselves in other cultures. Mandarin is available as a subject to all pupils in year 8 and above. Those who choose to pursue their Chinese studies as they progress through the school have the opportunity to participate in exchange programmes with partner schools in Hangzhou, eastern China.

Leeds Chinese Community School was established in 1966. It is an award-winning Chinese supplementary school within the Leeds City region, run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers. Each year pupils achieve outstanding results in GCSE and A Level exams.

New Vision Chinese School is conveniently located on the edge of the University of Leeds campus, comprised of senior education professionals, including successful Headteacher, professor, and influential educational thinkers, New Vision Education (a not-for-profit organisation) is a teaching site of the Business Confucius Institute, and collaborates with Music House to provide Chinese languages education and culture activities to the local community.

Mandarin Excellence Programme event inspires young learners
On 20 and 21 June the Business Confucius Institute supported the East Asian Studies Department to host nearly 90 young Mandarin learners for a day of Chinese language and culture.
Local Chinese school perform at Manchester Dragon Boat Festival celebrations
On June 9 2024, the day before the Dragon Boat Festival in the lunar calendar, nearly twenty teachers and students from New Vision Education Chinese School visited Salford Quays in Manchester to participate in the UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival celebration hosted by the Xinhua Chinese Association.
Leeds welcomes Mandarin Excellence Programme Northern Hub students
Students from Northern schools spent two days at the University of Leeds for a Chinese Culture Day run by the East Asian Studies Department (EAST) with support from the Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds (BCI).
