“利兹旅游中国”论坛系列工作坊成功举办
2019年10月24日和11月14日，利兹大学商务孔子学院与利兹市政厅旅游局合作，为当地商户举办了系列汉语教学工作坊。由于利兹市中国游客数量逐年增加，当地商户愈发认识到了解中国文化、学习中国语言对于扩大市场份额、吸引中国客户的重大作用。两次工作坊旨在使当地商户了解相关中国文化与语言知识，“为中国市场做好准备”（be China-ready）。
第一次工作坊主题为“如何迎接中国顾客”，参与者为酒店餐饮和各大旅游景点员工。利兹大学商务孔子学院教师孟佳楠为到场嘉宾上了一堂生动有趣的汉语课，教授了在接待中国游客等商务活动中常用的表达方法和中西跨文化交际知识。现场学习气氛热烈，热情高涨，工作坊接近尾声时，参与者表示收获很大，并十分期待学有所用。
第二次工作坊参加者主要是来自利兹市政厅旅游局、哈伍德宫、纽塞姆寺画廊和利兹奥顿霍尔酒店的管理层，本次主题更倾向于如何在中国市场进行营销推广，以及与中国客户及合作方建立良好关系。利兹大学商务孔子学院教师孟佳楠在商务汉语教学过程中，讲解并练习了用于初次见面、交换联系方式及日常往来的商务用语。
两次工作坊提高了参与者对于中国的待客之道的认识与理解，为其打开中国市场、扩大客户群体打下了良好的基础。很多听课的学员都表示出汉语极高的热情，希望能通过利兹孔院的课程让他们在商务活动中熟练地使用汉语，为更多的中国游客提供高质量的服务。
